چکیده
Diabetes mellitus and obesity are very similar in terms of pathogenesis pathophysiology. Most obese patients have adipose tissue dysfunction caused by genetic environmental factors. Adipose is the source adipokines secreted from adipocytes. Vaspin, Visfatin Chemerin discovered recent years. The study consists 43 non-diabetic 51 diabetic individuals. PCR-RFLP method agarose gel electrophoresis techniques were used to detect gene polymorphisms rs17173608, Vaspin rs2236242 rs2110385 DNA samples. In our study, when patient groups examined polymorphism, statistically significant results obtained (22% → 7%, p=0.048, respectively). distribution or variants not different (p>0.05). Our indicate that rs17173608 risk factors for development diabetes individuals, however, polymorphism may be a contributory

Adipokines Vaspin and Visfatin in Obese Children
BACKGROUND Adipokines provides new insights about the physiology, pathology and treatment of obesity. AIM We investigated the association between serum vaspin and serum visfatin concentrations with obesity in Egyptian children. MATERIAL AND METHODS Twenty two obese children with body mass index (BMI) above 95th percentile; 11 males and 11 females were included in this study. Their mean age ...
متن کاملModulation of Serum Vaspin Level by Diet Regimen in Obese Diabetic Female Patients
Obesity was associated with high serum vaspin concentrations and increased vaspin mRNA expression in human adipose tissue , insulin resistance, and type II diabetes. However, the mechanisms how vaspin secretion may be linked to deterioration of glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity are not understood. The aim of this work is to explore the effect of dietary regimen for 6 months on serum va...
متن کاملAssociation of chemerin with oxidative stress, inflammation and classical adipokines in non-diabetic obese patients
The prevalence of obesity has been increasing worldwide. Chemerin is a recently discovered adipokine secreted by the enlarged adipose tissue with diverse biological effects that are not well detailed yet. This study aimed to elucidate the potential role of chemerin in oxidative stress and inflammation that are characteristics for excess weight and may eventually lead to insulin resistance and a...
متن کاملSerum visfatin, resistin and IL-18 in A group of Egyptian obese diabetic and non diabetic individuals.
Resistin and visfatin have been proposed as playing a role in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance. We assessed the relationship between their serum concentrations and insulin resistance in lean, obese diabetic and obese non-diabetic. We explore their relationship with inflammatory markers and anthropometric parameters in obese patients. We measured serum resistin, visfatin levels in obese di...
متن کاملMeasured Versus Predicted Resting Metabolic Rate in Obese Diabetic and Obese Non-Diabetic Subjects
Predictive equations provide the basis for estimating energy needs for different individuals; however, accuracy of these equations has been questioned in tropical countries. The current study determined which of the commonly used predictive equations is most suitable for estimating resting metabolic rate (RMR) in a random sample of obese diabetic and obese non-diabetic subjects in Sudan. Two ma...
